Punched!


You plucked up courage to deliver that blow.

These words you spoke boldly, with a wry smile …

Looking into my face, seeing the sting of disbelief, the fear of being betrayed … for you knew the back story.


You took away everything I built.

For your eyes always see too far!


And you garrotted me with a six foot javelin that entered my already broken heart.

And you left it there with a pat on my shoulder as you left.

And smiled, for now it became yours, all yours!


But they admire you not.

For you cannot stand in my shoes.

You cannot be me.

And they dislike you, because you are without love!
